animal_bed.jpg
Hehe, it appears our cabin steward is quite creative :-)
train_tracks_villafrance.jpg
The train station at Villefranche. Again, we took the train from Villafrance to visit Nice.
england_2.jpg
Another shot while over Great Britain. If you look closely you can see on the highway that vehicles are driving on the left side of the road.
europe_car_mark.jpg
European cars are very small! Especially this one I saw in Villefranche. Parallel parking might be doable finally...
garden_nice.jpg
A nice view from Nice. Um, no pun intended, you DO pronounce them differently.
malta_countryside.jpg
Nice view of the Malta countryside from Valleta.
malta_valleta.jpg
Picture of me in front of the Church at Malta.
malta_view.jpg
Another view of Malta.
mark_sorrento.jpg
Photo shot in Sorrento. The hole on the left is a pretty large drop...
me_florence.jpg
Picture of me looking like a wierdo. Taken in Florence, Italy.
me_pompeii.jpg
Picture of me at the ruins of Pompeii.
pisa_cables.jpg
This I was not aware of, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually held up by gigantic cables. The degree of deviation from the vertical is 5.5 degrees. It was closed when we went, but supposedly will be stable enough to be open in the fall.
pisa_chart.jpg
A diagram illustrating the physics of the tower.
pisa_me.jpg
Hehe.
pompeii.jpg
Another picture of the ruins of Pompeii. This was taken from the entrance of the city.
pompeii2.jpg
Alternate view from the entrance we took.
pompeii_garden.jpg
Gardens outside the ruins of Pompeii.
pompeii_road.jpg
A roadway in Pompeii. Although you can't see it well here, there are rocks that stick out of the road at certain places. These were for the people to walk on since the roads were filled with the waste products of every household. Since the city was built on pumice from the volcano, Vesuvius, it was too hard to make the necessary pipes for plumbing.

ship_sm.jpg
sorrento_bus.jpg
Nice view of the coast of Italy on the way to Sorrento.
sorrento_bus2.jpg
Another view of the coast of Italy from the mountains.
sun_plane.jpg
This is a view of the sunset I viewed from the 777 on my way to London. From London, there was a short flight to Barcelona, where the ship was docked.
sunset_ship.jpg
A shot from the 10th Deck of Grandeur of the Seas around 9pm (GMT +01:00). Could make nice wallpaper?
waterfall_florence.jpg
A nice photo of the waterfall on a river in Florence.
waterfall_nice.jpg
Me standing in front of a nice water display and getting wet. This was taken at the Flea Market in Nice.
capri_fromboat.jpg
View from the hydrofoil we took from Sorrento of Capri.
bay_nice.jpg
The bay at Villefranche, our first stop. From Villefranche, we took the train (very nice actually) to the neighboring city of Nice. Notice the ship in the background.
capri_lookoutmark.jpg
Another nice view.
capri_lookout.jpg
View from the mountains on Capri of the bay. Some other cruise ship appears to be in the bay.
capri_lookoutnice.jpg
Nice wallpaper picture, taken from Capri.
capri_me.jpg
Photo of me standing on a nice lookout area of Capri.
cathedral2_florence.jpg
(Another)
cathedral_florence.jpg
One of the cathedrals we saw in Florence. It was quite an impressive site.
cathedral_pisa.jpg
One of the cathedrals next to the Leaning Tower.
church_malta.jpg
Inside of the huge Catholic Church in Malta. I took this with a long exposure since it was dark inside. The person on the right was just "slightly moving."
church_malta_dome.jpg
Picture of the large dome in the Church.
deck_grandeur.jpg
This shot was taken on Deck 10 of the Grandeur of the Seas when I first came aboard. The ground is rubbery and stuff, therefore perfect for running. However, at times in the evening, the winds reached 30-50 knots and made it almost impossible to walk straight. Yes, I almost got blown away.
england.jpg
A shot when flying over the southern part of Great Britain.
